OK, let’s talk about growing YOUR business.

I am sure that, like me, most of you have been down the “Trail of Tears” so to speak in this industry. Even, and perhaps more importantly, those of you that have already enjoyed some level of success need this information for those in your downline that are depending on you to show them the way.

So what does it really take to add 20-30 people a week into your business?

More importantly, what does it take to assist all of the “serious” people on your team to prosper and grow, to actually turn a profit?

It’s simple. A reality based success plan.

Not just some “duplicatable system” where everyone recruits 2 people, but an actual plan.

You need a plan to sell your products and services to the public. You see that’s where most people in this industry make their first and perhaps final error. It really isn’t about the opportunity. It’s about your company’s products and services and it’s about your ability to show your team how to be profitable by sharing your products and services with others.

For 5 years I struggled in this industry trying to recruit faster than my attrition rate. That’s hard. Especially when 90% of network marketers fail (therefore, with only opportunity seekers in your business your ultimate attrition rate will be what…?)

With the new system I have been privileged to find, I am finally achieving success.

4. BABY STEPS TO SUCCESS by Harun Bahri

Knowledge + Action = Success.

We’ve all heard that equation somewhere I’m sure while reading a book, listening to an audio, or even at a seminar. But what exactly does that equation entail?

Okay first there’s Knowledge, and if you don’t know something then you have to find out how to do it. Once you’ve gained the necessary knowledge, the next step is easy right? Well then why is it that most of us stumble if not completely stop on step 2 –Action?

You’d think that a 2 step process couldn't get any easier than that! But what is it exactly about action that stops us in our tracks?

There are a few reasons that I’ve noticed over the years about why that is, today I’ll only talk about the most common ones.

The first reason is "analysis paralysis": meaning we get so caught up in analyzing the situation, the circumstance, or whatever, that we simply never get to step 2.

Another reason is that we often feel like we just don’t have enough information, so we avoid taking any action justifying our lack of action with the thought "once I have ALL the answers, then I'll start."

Newsflash: You'll NEVER have all the information. I hate to break it to you but as you start learning new things you'll discover just how in-depth that subject really is and just how much information is available to you for you to learn.

The biggest reason why people never get to step 2 is because of fear. Fear of talking to people, fear of strangers, fear of what others will think of you, fear of the phone, fear of this, fear of that, fear, fear, fear and then some more fear - its everywhere. Here's the funny thing (in a very twisted way), the only way to overcome your fears is to face them. Yup, that's right. If you're afraid of cold calling then THE ONLY way you'll ever overcome that fear is by making cold calls.

Kind of sick and twisted when you think about it huh?

So the only question left for you to ask yourself is this - "Are my fears bigger than my dreams and desires?"

If the answer is yes, then I'm afraid you are definitely not going to like what I have to say next -

If you can't overcome your fears, if your dreams and desires do not motivate you to get up early, stay up late, do that extra little bit, or get you to face your fears and conquer them, then you should probably accept the fact that you will live a life of mediocrity. And the odds of you ever achieving your dreams are slim to none. And I'm thinking none is in the lead.

Okay, enough of the bad news (or a reality check for some of you), here's the good news. There is a way where you can overcome your fears and achieve your dreams and live a life of excellence as you desire - and that is by actually doing step 2. Remember step 2? That's where you take action on your game plan; it's where you start collecting results.

What's that you say? You're scared? Yeah, we all are. Yes even those guys up on stage making massive amounts of cash, at one time or another were scared, and were being held back from achieving their goals. The only difference between them and you is the fact that they sucked it up and took action to get them to where they wanted to be.

Which leads me to the subject of this article (you probably thought I’d never get to the point huh?)?

The way to really achieve massive success is by starting out with a single small step. Yep, that’s right. It’s ridiculously easy to do, but has immense effects in your life.

Going back to our fear of cold calling example; in order to overcome that fear you simply have to make enough cold calls that you aren't scared anymore. But how do you get to that point where you aren't scared?

Easy, you start by making the 1st call, and then you just build off of that. Will you stumble and fall? Of course, everyone does, that’s part of the game. You don't learn to ride a bicycle without getting a few scrapes and bruises, and falls (or in my case a whole bunch).

Here's another reason why taking that first step is so crucial. It builds your self-esteem (something a lot of people lack) by proving to yourself that you can face your fears and conquer them, even if you didn't get the result you wanted.

It all starts with that one simple step, followed by another and then another and another. And then pretty soon you're running so fast you never thought it was possible to even go that fast (its called momentum).

And yes, it does get easier over time; just keep at it you'll see.

Prospect properly. Stop trying to convince people during the prospecting phase of your sales system. Attract people don’t pull them.
