MLM Millionaires
Why is that a fortunate few have made millions in MLM, while
most barely make a check?
In most cases, MLM millionaires are not even hard workers, that
might surprise quite a few of you, but it's true. The hard
workers in MLM are the millions of distributors who fail to know
what to look for before making a decision to sign-up.
As you read this, ask yourself, "Do I want to become an MLM
millionaire?" And as you answer "YES!", here is what you MUST
look for in order to create millions in 2005 and beyond:
MLM Millionaire Checklist:
1) PRE-LAUNCH:
96% of all MLM millionaires were involved with the company
before it officially opened its doors, or they signed-up within
the first 12 months of the company officially launching.
Yes, I know what you are probably thinking, "Yikes! So many
companies go under before 12 months." Yes, that's true, however,
if you want the greatest chance of becoming an MLM millionaire,
PRE-LAUNCH is when to start.
Just like in any industry - the highest risk is to take or buy
stock when the company is brand new. Imagine a company like
Microsoft. Had you bought Microsoft in "pre-launch" you would be
one of the thousands to make millions!
Think about it, if you bought stock in Microsoft today it would
take you many, many years to become a millionaire, if ever. You
see, you can go with a 20-year old company and work your tail
off, but your enthusiasm and hard-work will not align with the
staleness of the company. However, if you take that same passion
and hard-work with a new and exciting company that does align
with your energy - your chances of becoming a millionaire are
within your reach.
2) LEADERSHIP:
FACT:
Leadership makes a country great.
Leadership makes a family strong.
Leadership makes a company shine.
If we look at all the great $100+ million dollar MLM companies
that have been around for decades, they all have admirable
leadership.
Yes, we know we want to get in on a "pre-launch", but we haves
be smart about it, right? If we get in when a company is
launching and they have terrible leadership - how far are we
going to go? With great leadership and a brand new company, now
we are taking a calculated risk, rather than a stupid risk.
3) Lead With One Product:
Simplicity is key to success!
Anyone will talk about 1 product. They can learn about 1
product, they can tell the story about 1 product quickly, and
they can show validation by telling stories about that 1
product. On the other side of it, people have the listening to
hear about 1 product.
Do you remember your last great movie? As you tell your friends,
do you talk about that great movie, or the last 20 movies that
you have seen? Of course, you only talk about the last great
movie that you have seen.
Leading with 1 product insures MLM magic. What is MLM magic?
DUPLICATION!
A company can have other products; in fact, a smart company will
have a catalog of products for their distributors. Once a person
is in, they now can "shop" in their store, but its very
important to understand to lead with 1 product creates massive
duplication.
4) State of the art technology, back-office and replicating
websites:
Times have changed and recruiting has changed. In order to
create ease in duplicating your down-line, you must have state
of the art resources to communicate and recruit with.
5) First class imaging and branding:
Cheesy MLM imaging and branding is OUT. Distributors want to be
proud of the company that they represent. They do not want it
look like just another MLM company. A first class look is
absolutely imperative when approaching the massive amounts of
baby-boomers and corporate executives looking at MLM now. This
fresh, new market is looking so you must approach them with
class.
6) Compensation Plan:
As we all know nothing in the world is ever perfect, but let's
talk about and imagine the closest thing to perfection in a
compensation plan.
But wait…what would be the closest thing to a perfect
compensation plan? A compensation plan that has no structure and
is solely based on volume? A low monthly qualifier? No customer
requirements? (In some you have to get 3 new customers each
month to get your check). No group volume qualification to
receive your check?
If you have to accomplish these things to be paid for your
efforts it will not allow you to retire in MLM. These conditions
only allow the company to make sure that you become their
worker-bee FOREVER.
Truth be told, a compensation plan creates the psychology of the
distributor. A great compensation plan will create team work, it
will keep distributors engaged in recruiting, and it will reward
those who work.
The closest thing to a perfect compensation plan would be a
binary with a matching bonus on enrollments. Why a binary? Well,
if you align yourself with an up-line that can truly create 1
strong power leg, then all you would have to do is create 1 leg
(which anyone could do, or has done before). How many of us have
had that 1 runaway leg that we wish we would get paid on?
Now, imagine you have a power leg that goes from here to China
and you truly did not have to create it. You would be getting
paid on the leg that you created - then, you would really be
getting paid on all of your effort.
How would you like to have that?
You see, most compensation plans are about the company making
more than enough money - not about the distributor making money.
Most compensation plans are about a distributor jumping through
hoops to get a check so that all of the money rolls up to the
company, not if, but when the distributor slips-up or stumbles.
What is the perfect compensation plan? A binary with a
outrageous power leg, a personal consumption qualifier of
$50-200 per month, matching bonuses on your personal
enrollments, and matching bonuses on your personal enrollment's
enrollments (paid in generations and not by levels). Sound
Utopian?
7) Outstanding events, contests and
recognition:
Forget the cheesy trips to Maui with no airfare paid. A company
should reward the efforts of their top distributors that have
given up time with their families. A company should express
their gratitude to their top leadership. A company should reward
the outrageous efforts of their top leaders in outrageous ways.
In ways that would make other MLM leaders within the industry
envious that they are not with that company. Trips like, an
African safari, a jungle excursion in the Amazon, experiencing
the Orient Express, or exploring islands in the Indian Ocean.
How often can the average person experience something like this?
Imagine painting a picture to your friends, family, and
colleagues, that your company is taking you on an all
expense-paid trip to explore the islands in the Indian Ocean.
Imagine showcase events, staged like the academy awards.
Imagine so much recognition that it would make a movie star
blush.
Recognition needs to be done a weekly and monthly basis - not
just once or twice a year at an event. A company needs to
recognize its leaders constantly.
Everyone realizes that people will do more for recognition than
they will for money? A human craves recognition more than money
because recognition is the very basis of affection, love and
connection. Give children recognition from day 1 and they will
have a feeling of self-worth and self-esteem that is
extraordinary! Give children no recognition and you have a
person who grows up to be self-sabotaging, self-doubting, with
low self-esteem, and no self-love or self-worth.
